As we enter into this time of transition in our parish, I wanted to offer a few words of introduction. My name is Fr Larry Adams (I generally go by ‘Fr Larry’), and I’ve been a priest in the Diocese of Pittsburgh for ten years.
I’m Pittsburgh - born and bred - I grew up near Kennywood Park (and worked there during my undergrad years at Pitt!). I went to Catholic schools - St Agnes in West Mifflin and Serra Catholic HS in McKeesport - before getting a degree in Computer Science at Pitt. I worked in software systems for 15 years, starting out as a programmer and eventually moving into project management and consulting.
Since my ordination, I’ve been assigned to a number of parishes in just about every corner of the diocese! My current role is working at the Diocesan Pastoral Center as an “Associate General Secretary for Special Projects.” My main project right now is one that’s centered on increasing the financial stability and health of our diocesan grade schools.
Blessings, Fr Larry
